How the subsidy is worked out
- PM Surya Ghar (central): ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW, plus ₹18,000 for the third kW — a maximum of ₹78,000 for 3 kW and above.
- Tamil Nadu top-up: ₹5,000 for 1 kW to below 2 kW, ₹10,000 for 2 kW to below 3 kW, and ₹22,000 for 3 kW and above (up to 10 kW).
The subsidy is paid into your bank account after the system is commissioned and inspected. You pay the full price to the vendor first, so plan your budget or ask about solar loans.
