Why it can make sense

What commercial solar can offer

  • Daytime load matches generation

Business hours line up with solar hours, so more of what you generate is used directly on site.

  • Higher tariffs, faster value

Commercial tariffs are usually higher than domestic rates, which can shorten the payback period.

  • Predictable operating costs

Generating part of your own power reduces exposure to future tariff increases.

  • Visible commitment

A well-installed rooftop system signals a practical commitment to clean energy to customers and staff.

  1. 1

    Load profile

We look at when you use electricity, not just how much — weekday and weekend patterns matter.

  2. 2

    Roof and structure

Sheet, RCC and mixed roofs need different mounting approaches and structural checks.

  3. 3

    Tariff and regulations

Metering arrangements and any charges on solar generation for non-domestic consumers must be checked with the DISCOM.

  4. 4

    No residential subsidy

PM Surya Ghar assistance is for households; commercial projects are evaluated on their own economics.

Questions

Commercial Solar: common questions

Is commercial solar eligible for PM Surya Ghar?

No. PM Surya Ghar central assistance is for residential households. Commercial projects are assessed on their own financial merits.

How quickly can a commercial system pay back?

It depends on your tariff, how much generation you use on site and the project cost. The calculator gives an indicative figure; a proposal after a site survey gives a more reliable one.

Can you work around business hours?

Tell us your operating constraints at the enquiry stage and we will plan the work accordingly where practical.

Tell us about your premises.

Share your usage and roof details and we will tell you whether we can take on the project.
